Orthopaedic Legacy Lecture (Hybrid)
The Legacy Lecture, featuring guest speaker, Steven Haddad, M.D. (Med '89), was created with contributions from alumni, grateful patients, and the spouse of a former faculty member. The annual event will feature a leader who is a graduate of the orthopaedic surgery residency program. The goal is to build community between residents and alumni, as well as with faculty. The lecture exposes residents to the contributions of those who came before them, and to their responsibility in building the profession for future residents.

Traystman Endowed Lecture (Hybrid)
Join us for a Grand Rounds lecture endowed in appreciation for the impactful work and influence on the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. Guest speaker is Michael Moskowitz, M.D. Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School at Massachusetts General Hospital. This program will be hybrid and a livestream link will be shared with registrants.
Michael M.E. Johns, M.D. Public Policy Lecture
The annual lectureship honors Dr. Michael M.E. Johns’ life-long commitment to excellence in healthcare. Dr. Johns was dean of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and vice president of the medical faculty from 1990-96. He also served as professor and director of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and as associate dean for clinical affairs. Co-presented by the Dean of the School of Medicine and the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, this year's speaker is Nigam H. Shah, MBBS, PhD, Biomedical Informatics Research, Stanford University.
Grand Classes Lunch
Hosted by Dean and CEO Ted DeWeese, M.D, this annual event honors alumni who graduated 51 years ago or more from the School of Medicine. Spouses and widowed spouses are honorary members of the Grand Classes for having shared their lives and heritage of Johns Hopkins physicians.
Ivor Berkowitz, M.D. Retirement Celebration
Ivor Berkowitz, M.D. is rounding up an extraordinary career as a clinician, teacher, mentor, and leader in the field of pediatric anesthesia and critical care medicine, and retiring on March 4th after 40+ years of service here at Johns Hopkins.
Neurology Grand Rounds (Hybrid)
The Johns Hopkins Department of Neurology is hosting a Grand Rounds session featuring Dr. Valérie Biousse, the Cyrus H. Stoner Professor of Ophthalmology and Professor of Neuro-Ophthalmology and Neurology at Emory University. Dr. Biousse is an internationally recognized leader in neuro-ophthalmology, with research spanning idiopathic intracranial hypertension, cerebrovascular manifestations of ocular disease, and the use of artificial intelligence and imaging for neuro-ophthalmic diagnostics. She has co-authored over 500 publications and several definitive textbooks in the field, including Neuro-Ophthalmology Illustrated and Walsh & Hoyt’s Clinical Neuro-Ophthalmology. Alongside Dr. Biousse, two Johns Hopkins Department of Neurology residents will present their research as part of an ongoing Grand Rounds series designed to highlight innovative work from the next generation of physician-scientists.

Minimally Invasive Surgical Training and Innovation Center (MISTIC) Tour
This event aims to showcase the center's invaluable contributions to medical education and innovation while fostering gratitude among patients and supporters. Staff members will be available in the Armstrong Medical Education Building (1600 McElderry St.) to lead attendees over to the Center in Blalock.

Art as Applied to Medicine Gallery
Illustrations from students and alumni of the Art as Applied to Medicine program will be on display throughout the day. Established in 1911, the medical illustration program at Hopkins is the oldest of its kind in the country.
Department of Pathology Grand Rounds (Hybrid)
The John Hopkins Department of Pathology presents a grand rounds lecture featuring Karen C. Carroll, M.D., Professor Emerita in the Department of Pathology who served as Director of the Division of Medical Microbiology from 2002 to 2024. Dr. Carroll’s talk is entitled, “Hopkins Microbiology’s impact and mitigation of epidemics and pandemics”. Dr. Carroll’s clinical expertise is in medical microbiology and infectious diseases; and her research focuses on the evaluation of novel diagnostic platforms, diagnosis of bloodstream infections/sepsis, and the diagnosis and epidemiology of healthcare-associated infections, such as MRSA and Clostridium difficile. She was instrumental in leading the efforts to obtain a quick detection covid test at Johns Hopkins when the pandemic began in 2020.

Welch Medical Library Tours
Join us for a tour of the Welch Medical Library, a library that serves the information needs of the faculty, staff and students of Johns Hopkins Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health. The tour will begin in the lobby of the Welch Medical Library Building and will tour the 1st and 2nd floors of the library with stops in the West Reading room and the Academy, home of the retired and emeritus School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and School of Public Health faculty. The tour will continue to the 3rd floor of the library so the group can see some selections from the History of Medicine collections and the Rare Book Room. Tours run approximately 30 - 45 minutes.

Biocontainment Unit Tour
Join us for a tour of the Biocontainment Unit at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, which is a state-of-the-art facility designed to care for adult and pediatric patients affected by high-consequence infectious diseases such as COVID-19, Ebola, smallpox, SARS and other emerging pathogens. The unit is a multidisciplinary collaboration of experts from access Johns Hopkins and the world. The tour will run for about an hour. Tour groups will depart at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. from the lobby of the Armstrong Medical Education Building.

Hopkins (a distant relative) on a 1.5-hour bus tour to dive into Baltimore, its charm and its challenges, and learn about what's changed (and changing) today. This milestone event features a "State of the Program" address highlighting the MSTP's legacy, current initiatives, and future directions in training physician-scientists. The Osler Experience: A Resident's Perspective
Join a lively panel discussion with the current Osler Medical residency housestaff. Hear what a typical day is like for our residencts and learn about how the Osler program, and other Hopkins' residency programs, have changed over the years - and how they've stayed the same. Please come with your questions but be prepared to answer some from our residents as well. They are just as curious about your experience! We welcome our Osler Medical Residency alumni and families, but invite all School of Medicine alumni and friends to attend and participate. The panel will be moderated by Natasha Mubeen Chida, MD, MSPH, FIDSA, Myron L. Weisfelt Professor of Medicine, Program Director, Osler Medical Residency.

She is a writer, historian, lecturer, and photographer and has served as a past-president of the Baltimore Architecture Foundation and head of the History of Maryland Medicine at MedChi.
