The Center for Financial Economics advances knowledge of the economic forces driving the financial system through research and teaching. Join CFE Director Bob Barbera and faculty for a roundtable discussion about how the program explores the fundamental economics of our current system and the dynamic tensions that spur change.  This will be followed by a networking reception hosted by the Center for Financial Economics Advisory Council for students interested in careers in finance.

Join Rama Chellappa, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor in electrical and computer engineering and biomedical engineering, and pioneer in artificial intelligence for a talk on the benefits of current and future advancements in data science and artificial intelligence. 

Join the Hopkins Retrospective team for a walking tour of the Homewood campus. Learn about the history of this place through the evolution of its buildings and the experiences of its people.

A faculty panel explores the progress and challenges that women face today and 50 years ago - when the first undergraduate women came to Johns Hopkins. Panelists will access the current state of feminism, and reflect on the advancements and setbacks in women’s rights.

Do the mash potato and don your most fabulous paper dress as we explore the world of teenage heartbreak 1960s-style through Special Collections' astounding collection of romance comics and vintage board games! Learn about the perils of falling in love with teenage beatniks, how Woodstock can transform a hippie into a Stepford wife, and whether or not college is for you!

In 2024 the past meets the future as the Johns Hopkins Sheridan Libraries celebrate the 60th anniversary of the university’s principal research library while preparing to break ground on a two-year modernization project that will completely reimagine the aging building for the 21st century. Join Elisabeth Long, Sheridan Dean of University Libraries, Archives, and Museums, as she shares her vision for a new Eisenhower Library and the role of the Libraries more broadly as the intellectual crossroads for the Hopkins community.

Join the Department of Biomedical Engineering for an open house and alumni reception and hear first-hand the exciting research and student projects happening within the department. 

The Whiting School of Engineering and Krieger School of Arts & Sciences present the Departmental Showcase. Join JHU departments from across the institution as they give you a taste of what makes learning at Johns Hopkins so great! Jump right in and experience the types of learning JHU students see every day. You can test, touch, and try a variety of technologies and engage with manipulatives and other teaching tools as you make your way across the tent.

Archives, Engaged: The Hopkins Retrospective team will host a social gathering for alumni, students, and their families to explore archival records. We hope to learn from each other while sharing, documenting, and reflecting on the impact women have had on the university.

The JHU Ladybirds present a special Alumni Weekend dance showcase including featured performances by other JHU dance groups including Josh, Lan Yun, and shakti, and a cappella groups including Take Two, Vocal Chords, and Notes of Ranvier. Alongside these groups, the Ladybirds will present their energetic and eclectic range of dance from jazz, pop, to spirited routines seen at JHU athletic events. This will be an evening showcasing JHU’s best creativity and school spirit – join us!

Brecht’s Galileo is one of the great masterpieces of modern theatre. It stages the life of Galileo, his scientific breakthroughs with the telescope and then his arrest and censorship by the Inquisition. We are collaborating with the Space Telescope Science Institute, which is the home of the Hubble and Webb telescopes. So the production is going to have projections of images from these telescopes – those gorgeous images of exoplanets, black holes, etc., which represent the very farthest the human eye can see.
