HopTalk - Center for Financial Economics Roundtable and Reception
The Center for Financial Economics advances knowledge of the economic forces driving the financial system through research and teaching. Join CFE Director Bob Barbera, and faculty for a roundtable discussion about how the program explores the fundamental economics of our current system and the dynamic tensions that spur change. This will be followed by a networking reception hosted by the Center for Financial Economics Advisory Council for students interested in careers in finance.

Homewood Museum Tour
On a docent-led tour of Homewood, you will learn about the history of early 19th-century Baltimore and the people, both free and enslaved, who resided at Homewood during that time. You also will see 12 rooms of the Federal-era mansion, plus many objects in its collection, including furniture, ceramics, paintings, and silver.
Please note: The
tour discusses mature themes such as slavery, violence, domestic abuse, and
sexual assault, and may not be appropriate for younger visitors.

Join Elisabeth Long, Sheridan Dean of University Libraries, Archives, and Museums, as she shares her vision for a new Eisenhower Library and the role of the Libraries more broadly as the intellectual crossroads for the Hopkins community.

Galileo - Friday Showing
Brecht’s Galileo is one of the great masterpieces of modern
theatre. It stages the life of Galileo, his scientific breakthroughs with the
telescope and then his arrest and censorship by the Inquisition. We are
collaborating with the Space Telescope Science Institute, which is the home of
the Hubble and Webb telescopes. So the production is going to have projections
of images from these telescopes – those gorgeous images of exoplanets, black
holes, etc., which represent the very farthest the human eye can see.
